Ralston
ABOUT
Established on May 23, 1907 with the sale of 282.7 acres of land owned by a Omaha newspaper editor, George Miller, to the Ralston Investment Company. The town was officially incorporated on June 22, 1912. One unique feature of Ralston is that it is surrounded on three sides by the city of Omaha (on 84th, 72nd, and L Streets) and by Sarpy County (Harrison Street) on the south side. Fun Fact: Ralston was one of the first cities in the United States to declared bankruptcy; in 1934 a fire destroyed half a city block which resulted in the filing.
